Project
Blackout Electric was engaged to complete a full pool and garden lighting solution for a luxury tropical retreat in Huapai. The project included electrical wiring for the pool pump and heating system, as well as the design and installation of ambient in-pool lighting and landscape lighting around the surrounding garden and pool area.

Challenge
The saltwater nature of the pool required lighting fixtures that could withstand harsh environmental conditions without corrosion. The client wanted to preserve the tropical, lush aesthetic while achieving seamless lighting integration. A key challenge was finding a way to power the lighting from the house to the backyard without the need for extensive trenching
Solution
We worked closely with Freedom Pools and Sydex Excavation to ensure a cohesive and timely install. To maintain the property’s aesthetic, we opted for Bluetooth wireless technology to connect outdoor lighting—eliminating the need for underground cabling. All fixtures chosen were resistant to saltwater exposure and fit seamlessly with the tropical landscape design.
